The Role
We are looking for an experienced Roofing Foreman to join our site delivery team.
This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone with strong practical roofing experience and proven experience leading and coordinating roofing teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of roofing works, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards and in line with the project programme.
Working full-time on site, you will act as the key point of contact for the roofing installation team, coordinating labour, materials and daily activities while working closely with the Project Manager and wider site management team.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all day-to-day roofing installation activities on site.
- Lead and direct the roofing crew, ensuring everyone understands their daily tasks and priorities.
- Monitor daily productivity and output, addressing inefficiencies and adjusting labour requirements where necessary.
- Ensure roofing works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, technical details and agreed installation methods.
- Oversee the correct sequencing of roofing build-ups, including membranes, insulation, fixings and associated detailing.
- Coordinate material deliveries, lifts and the movement of materials to ensure everything required is available ahead of installation.
- Identify and report potential material shortages, delivery issues, design clashes or technical concerns.
- Carry out regular visual and on-the-spot quality checks to ensure works meet project and QA standards.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure all roofing activities are carried out in accordance with RAMS, lift plans and safe working procedures.
- Attend daily site briefings and provide updates on progress, labour, productivity, issues and upcoming requirements.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, H&S and Quality teams to support the successful delivery of the project.
About You
- Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on roofing experience.
- At least 1–2 years' experience in a supervisory or Foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including warm roof build-ups, membranes, insulation, fixings and associated detailing.
- Proven experience managing roofing crews and driving productivity on site.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality requirements and defect prevention.
- Excellent awareness of Health & Safety within a live construction environment.
- Proactive, organised and capable of taking the lead on day-to-day site activities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required.
- Willingness to work on projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
