The Role
As a Delivery Manager at Avaus, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring successful, value-driven delivery for our clients. You guide delivery teams, enable progress, manage stakeholder expectations, and make sure that client results stay at the center of everything we do.
You’ll often work across multiple workstreams or initiatives, partnering closely with client sponsors, strategists and tech leads. Your focus is to enable the team, maintain delivery excellence, and ensure that our work contributes to both client success and long-term relationships. The intended role is mid- to senior-level.
Some of your key responsibilities:
Develop and drive the delivery roadmap for one or more client engagements
Enable high-performing teams by supporting clarity, flow, and prioritisation
Manage risks, dependencies, and change across delivery streams
Ensure that deliverables are aligned with client goals, budget, and scope and supported by a relevant business case
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, balancing stakeholder needs
Identify growth opportunities and support the commercial development of client accounts
Contribute to the evolution of Avaus’ delivery practices and internal frameworks
Client administration, ensuring budgets, team allocations and all nitty-gritty stuff are in order
In client relations our delivery leads can both lead our deliveries or take on roles at the clients such as product owner, epic owner, agile coach, CRM-coach, transformation leads, CRM-manager, activation lead.
Who are you?
You are a structured, value-driven delivery leader with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for collaboration. You enjoy supporting teams, making progress visible, and helping clients succeed through clarity and follow-through.
You don’t have to be a tech expert, but you need to be fluent in working with developers, architects, and analysts in a digital context. You’re comfortable leading in both agile and hybrid setups — and you’re curious about new ways of working, like agentic workflows or AI-supported delivery.
We believe you have:
4+ years of experience in delivery, client management or project management roles
Experience leading cross-functional digital teams, preferably in a consultancy-setting
Proven track record of successfully delivering projects involving data, AI or marketing technologies (e.g. marketing automation, CRM, CMS, CDP or advertising platforms)
Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and delivery tooling (e.g. JIRA) - experience in BOTH agile and waterfall methodologies is an advantage
Proven ability to manage complex deliveries in an IT and business impact setting
Other previous people management or leadership experience is an advantage
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Curiosity and a solution-oriented approach
Fluent in Finnish (required) and English (business level)
Practical Information
Our Helsinki office is located at Albertinkatu 25. We have a hybrid work model where we work flexibly from our office, client offices and from home. Your starting date will be agreed during the course of the interview process. This is a permanent position with a six-month probation period. You will report to the Head of Strategy & Delivery Management.
