Technical Accounting Director

Job descriptionServe as ICEYE’s internal expert on IFRS technical accounting, focusing on revenue recognition (IFRS 15). Review customer contracts, collaborating with Sales, Legal, and Delivery teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and early issue identification. Ensure revenue arrangements comply with company policies and IFRS 15 standards. Apply judgment to complex revenue recognition scenarios involving multiple performance obligations. Partner with internal teams to address inquiries related to revenue recognition. Draft technical accounting memos on complex areas like revenue, capitalization, grants, and cost recognition. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and ensure accurate footnote disclosures. Maintain and develop ICEYE’s accounting policies and procedures manual. Stay updated on new IFRS standards and implement changes as needed. Coordinate with external auditors during audits. Support the GL and reporting teams in resolving technical issues. Lead or support ad hoc projects such as new system implementations or financing transactions. Strong technical accounting background, with expertise in IFRS, especially IFRS 15. Experience in drafting financial statements and disclosures under IFRS. Prior Big 4 experience, particularly in audit or advisory roles on complex accounting issues. Ability to apply judgment in complex, ambiguous accounting situations. Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, legal, and delivery teams. Capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines, especially during audits. Strong written communication skills, particularly for technical memos. Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. Deep ownership and expertise-building attitude. Collaborative approach, even when challenging assumptions. Competitive salary based on experience, negotiated individually.
