To strengthen our growing team, we are looking for a skilled and hands-on Project Manager – Naval Architecture to drive innovative marine engineering solutions from concept to production.
As Project Manager, you will act as the central link between design, engineering, classification societies, shipyards, and clients — ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest technical standards. You will not only manage the project team; we are looking for someone who is hands-on and willing to contribute directly to design tasks using the (3D) programs when needed.
This is a full-time, permanent position that will be filled as soon as a suitable person is found.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage vessel design projects from early design stages to production delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Liaise with shipyards, boatyards, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee class-level documentation and approvals (DNV, ISO or similar).
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior naval architects and designers.
- Contribute technically to naval architecture and marine engineering tasks :
- Structural design and verification
- Systems integration and layout
- Stability and regulatory compliance
Requirements
Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within a design office, shipyard, or boatyard.Strong technical expertise in :Class-level design and statutory documentationStructural engineering and scantlingsMarine systems design and integrationExperience working with classification societies and international standards.Excellent organizational and communication skills – knowing when to lead, when to listen and when to step up (or back).Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional project teams.Proficiency with CAD / 3D design tools (e.g. Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with engineering analysis tools.Professional proficiency in English; Finnish is an advantage but not required.We offer
