Role Overview :
Managing the store team, you will focus on driving sales and maximizing store profitability, while providing industry-leading service and training your team to excel and develop in sales. You will continue to exceed your store's KPIs and maintain the company standards while following company guidelines. Most importantly, you will represent JD Sports in the most professional manner.
Key duties / responsibilities :
- Ensure that the company policy, including all branch rules and procedures, contract of employment, security, and any other standing orders notified, is adhered to at all times within the branch.
- Ensure that government legislation affecting the branch environment is observed at all times.
- Lead, train, and develop internal staff and promote progression within the group.
- Ensure that all expenses are kept to a minimum and are incurred only when justified.
- Have ownership of administrative responsibilities regarding retail development, vacant premises, scheduling, and local trading patterns which may affect the branch.
Sales
Confident use of the store’s dashboard to analyze KPIs and ensure that targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded.Utilize in-store devices, ensuring that all team members are driving this at every opportunity.Support the team in encouraging customers to return as a result of courteous and competent service.Ensure that targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded.Customer Service
Maintain customer retention by providing first-class service and driving consistency within your internal teams to achieve the highest service levels.Motivate and train the team to ensure that customers are given courteous, considerate, and responsible advice.Deal with all customer complaints, whether out of service or merchandise, according to company policy, ensuring that they are handled promptly, courteously, and objectively.Visual Merchandising
Following a weekly brief, ensure that this is applied to your store and maintain high visual standards.Attract, engage, and motivate customers into making purchases in-store by using the latest visual techniques.Ensure that all new products and advertised products are visible and in the correct locations.Ensure mannequins, displays, and windows are updated in accordance with Visual Merchandising guidelines.Skills, Experience & Knowledge Needed
