Gofore has seven offices in Finland (Tampere, Helsinki, Turku, Lappeenranta, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Kajaani). You can work remotely or in a hybrid model. The job may also require travel within Finland.

In our diverse projects, we work closely with cloud experts in particular - in our service area, you can be exposed to e.g. projects related to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Right now, our community is looking for an enthusiastic and pioneering Data & Power BI Consultant!

At the moment, we are hiring directly for a project. This means that we have ongoing recruitment, but before making an offer, we need to find your first project based on what we have discussed with you during the recruitment process. We believe this improves the employee experience, as we can offer a project immediately when you start at Gofore.

What we expect from you

At least 5 years of experience in the field

Experience with Power BI and Azure environments

Understanding of good data visualization and high-quality reporting

Ability to understand users and define and implement reports and dashboards according to user needs

Proficiency in DAX, M, and SQL

Knowledge of data models and data platforms, as well as understanding their structures and construction

Experience with integrations, data migrations, and interfaces

Fluent in Finnish and English

Consulting skills - especially communication skills and the ability to advance matters

Considered an advantage :

Experience in designing and implementing secure Power BI architecture and infrastructure

Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and Python

Data-related certifications (especially Azure)

Experience with DataOps or similar methodologies

Understanding of information security and data protection

You are a people-oriented data and information professional who is at home in Power BI & Azure environments and quickly adopting Microsoft Fabric as well. You know data models and data platforms, as well as their structures, and understand what their construction requires both technically and content-wise.

You can identify end-users' data needs even when users themselves cannot always describe them. You determine what data fulfills these needs, where to find it, and how to obtain it. You understand the lifecycle and versioning of data and their management, and hopefully have experience with DataOps or similar methodologies.

You know what constitutes good data visualization and high-quality reporting. You can create user-friendly and content-rich reports and dashboards that cater to users' needs. You can build the metrics and calculations needed to make raw data understandable in different contexts.

Together with cloud infrastructure experts, you can build a secure and easily manageable reporting and visualization distribution system where users can easily find the information they need. You understand user management and data protection, as well as their impacts and requirements for data visibility in various situations. You know the capacity requirements of different implementation options and understand their infrastructure and cost impacts, enabling you to design cost-effective data utilization solutions. You can also analyze and monitor the functionality, usage, and performance of the overall system.

You can communicate with data engineers and platform developers and guide their work to produce a high-quality and efficient data foundation for reporting, data management, and data visualization. If necessary, you can roll up your sleeves and participate in data processing to meet data needs.

You communicate fluently in Finnish, English, DAX, SQL, and preferably also in Python and M.

Salary development

For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values : being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor). Yourmonthly salary will be between€4,500 – €5,500.

We have different salary models, and in addition to the monthly salary, we have separate bonuses linked with the company’s success. Bonuses can be related to, for example, recruitment, sales or actions advancing Gofore’s employer brand.
