Introduction

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and proactive HR Manager to join our HR Finland team at Metso for a temporary position of a minimum one (1) year parental leave period. The ideal start date would be in December 2025 or in January 2026, at the latest.

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting line managers within specific business lines in the Metso Finland organization and play a pivotal role in supporting our leaders and employees to achieve organizational success. You’ll act as a trusted partner to line managers, providing expertise across various HR disciplines in a multi-cultural matrix environment. This is an opportunity to bring innovative ideas and expertise to elevate a high-impact HR function that meets today’s challenges and anticipates tomorrow’s needs.

This position is located either in our headquarters in Espoo, or in our Tampere office. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working options. Some travelling within Finland might be needed, depending on your location.

Team you belong to

You will join a collaborative team of dedicated HR Managers who are passionate about delivering high-quality HR support and services to the business lines or functions they are supporting. Our team is committed to driving continuous improvement and supporting each other in achieving individual and collective goals.

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as line managers, the talent acquisition team, the HR support and services team, and global and business area HR professionals throughout the organization. The members of our team are located in Espoo, Lappeenranta, Pori, and Tampere. In this role, you’ll report to the Senior HR Manager, Team Lead in HR Finland.

What you’ll do

• Provide guidance and support to line managers on people-related topics to ensure business success and achievement of targets.
• Equip line managers with the tools and knowledge to handle HR tasks such as onboarding, job levelling, compensation and benefits (C&B), exit processes, organizational changes, competence and performance management, and health & wellbeing.
• Act as a key driver in rolling out and training line managers on global HR processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Represent HR in the local Occupational Health and Safety Committee, contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.
• Leverage data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and refine HR strategies.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment-related matters to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience
• Foster collaboration with employee representatives to maintain a productive and respectful work environment.
• Work closely together with the HR Finland team to ensure efficient and high-level HR services for the Metso Finland organization.
