As part of Hiab’s Demountables and Defence, you will manage organic and inorganic strategy development for the business to drive continuous profitable growth. In this role, you will provide strategy-critical business and market intelligence services & analytics, prepare business cases for growth opportunities, drive strategy development and implementation, and provide support to senior management in this area. This position is based in Helsinki, Finland, but we are also considering Raisio and Tampere as locations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business and growth opportunities (e.g., partnerships, alliances, mergers, or acquisitions) that will contribute to the division\'s short- and long-term business goals
  • Analyze and conduct business cases, analyze markets and competitors on a regular basis (macroeconomic, customers, competitors, regulatory requirements, etc.), and utilize external benchmark data for business intelligence
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans, including mergers & acquisitions
  • Support in defining growth strategy for the market area based on fact-based market analysis
  • Facilitate discussions and manage negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue opportunities and protect the organization\'s interests
  • Review and update strategy aligned with the company cadence
  • Develop regular reports to support business development and reviews
  • Coordinate and manage research and benchmarking activities within the corporation; provide general business development support
  • Develop tools, systems and approaches for business development, strategy design and implementation

What you’ll need to succeed

Education :

  • University degree (e.g., master in business and administration)
  • Experience :

  • Around 2 to 5 years of experience in business analytics, development roles or other relevant positions (e.g., consulting)
  • Preferably experience in an analytical role in a similar industry, management consulting, investment banking or private equity
  • Competencies :

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, analytical tools and systems
  • Pragmatic decision making
  • Value chain understanding
  • Strong business mindset with basic financial skills; understands drivers for profitability & growth
  • Project management
  • Lean Six Sigma certification would be considered an advantage
  • Building relationships
  • Structured and fact-based way of working
  • Fluent English
