Sanoma Group’s Accounting Services team is looking for Summer Trainees / Junior Financial Specialists for summer 2022. This would be an unique chance to learn how financial accounting is done in a listed global company. The department

The Accounting Services team is an integral part of Sanoma Group Finance Control and provides accounting services to Sanoma’s Learning and Media operations. As a function we aim to provide scalable and high-quality accounting services, driving value from an end-to-end perspective. We want to be the go-to party for all local accounting related questions.

In finance field you could work with :

Accounts Payable (Purchase-to-Pay)

In this role you will be supporting finance activities within Accounts Payable. On a daily basis you support team with purchase invoice and travel claim processing, payments, query and escalation handling, month-end closing activities including accruals and reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable (Order-to-Cash)

In this role you will be supporting finance activities within Accounts Receivable. On a daily basis you could be supporting team with bank statement postings, allocation of incoming payments, customer refunds and reconciliations. You support a smooth month-end and closing process by handling closing activities and reconciliations in a timely manner.

Qualifications Required

We are looking for driven, positive individuals who have can-do attitude. You have a true interest to work in Finance and preferably already some work experience. Also we are looking for the following qualifications :

• Soon to be graduated BSc / MSc, a major in Accounting or Finance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English and / or Finnish
• Customer driven mindset
• A brave and proactive approach to work and good team playing skills
• Digi savvy, good excel skills would be useful
